A note from Aaron
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Hello everyone, and welcome to our May edition of Probably Nothing. I'm excited to share our recent achievements and give you a glimpse into what’s coming up.
Firstly, a big “thank you” to everyone who participated in our first The Root Network x The Next Legends challenge. Your active engagement in the TNL mint allowed us to successfully test our DOT mixer technology, and we're pleased to share that a total of 325,400 $ROOT tokens were claimed via this challenge. Congratulations to all those who participated and became one of the first to hold $ROOT in their FuturePass.
A reminder to those who missed out, $ROOT is a play-and-earn game. Anyone with Futureverse ecosystem assets can create a FuturePass and complete challenges to receive $ROOT tokens as a reward. Once we’ve launched our FutureScore engine the collectibles you own and your contributions to our ecosystem will determine your score, adding a dynamic layer to The Root Network and encouraging community engagement.
We're excited about the upcoming challenges and opportunities for you to unlock more $ROOT tokens, and I’m pleased to share that the second Root Network challenge is now live. This requires you to test our Ethereum bridge by transferring your TNL Pro Boxer to The Root Network, and you have two weeks until May 30 PT/May 31 NZ to participate.
Looking ahead, we're preparing to roll out exciting features. Soon, you will be able to stake $ROOT tokens to secure The Root Network, trade collectibles in a new marketplace using $ROOT, use $ROOT in the on-chain DEX, and more.
Your continued support and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind our progress. The entire team and I are deeply appreciative of your involvement. Together, we're shaping the future of the Open Metaverse. Keep an eye out for more updates soon, and thank you again for your ongoing support.

CEO of Futureverse
Gods & Goblins
It has been over a month since the Goblin Horde made their triumphant return and flooded The Third Kingdom with chaos.
While the Goblins are busy expanding their base of operations in Goblin Town, the real mischief is taking place in the Open Metaverse. We’ve loved seeing your Goblins take over Twitter and Discord, and now, we have some exciting news to share with you... we’re releasing high-quality Blender files in the Underground this month, enabling you to create with your Goblins across many different mediums.
These Blender models are not just static images; they are dynamic 3D assets. You can animate them, modify them, and use them in a wide range of creative projects. Imagine bringing your Goblin to life in a short film or creating a unique scene for a comic strip. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
For those dabbling in game development, you can import these Blender files into your preferred game engine. Feeling artistic? Your Goblins might add the perfect touch to your next digital art, or mixed-media project. Imagine creating a stunning piece of 3D art featuring your Goblin, or using the models as reference for a traditional painting or sculpture.
We’re also excited to see the potential for augmented, and virtual-reality applications. We want to shout out two pioneers in this space, bigheeno&BlockchainBunny, for their incredible work adding Goblin AR filters to their app, Avatar Scan.
Moreover, these Blender files open up exciting possibilities in the world of 3D printing. You could print your own real-world Goblin figurines, keychains, or even larger statues. The release of these Blender models gives our community the tools to take their Goblins beyond the caverns of Goblin Town, into a world of limitless creative possibility. We can’t wait to see what you all create with these assets, and look forward to witnessing the incredible ways in which our Goblins continue to disrupt and delight in the Open Metaverse.

VP OF COMMUNITY
It’s been another busy month at Futureverse as we begin to launch a swathe of applications connected to the rollout of The Root Network and $ROOT tokens.
When it comes to FLUF World’s collections, we were buzzing to finalize the roll-out of the Mythrium-Class Buzzies, sporting a spectacular assortment of exceptional traits across the five Buzzie families. We also teased what might be returning to lucky HNI Pot #4, which is sitting unrevealed on Opensea, awaiting its mystery match. Stay tuned in Discord for news of the big reveal.
On a more personal note, I was proud to recently announce my appointment to the role of VP of Community for Futureverse. Community is at the heart of all we do, and during my time as CEO of Non-Fungible Labs, I had the pleasure of getting to know many of the avid members of the Fluffle that champion our ecosystem, vision, and shared mission. I’m honored to take on this next challenge and have spent the first two weeks in this new position hosting 1:1 meetings with community members who requested them. I’ve enjoyed meeting you all, and appreciate the candid feedback I’ve received through this opportunity to speak with you directly.
Communications and community are integral to the success of Futureverse. I look forward to spearheading our continued improvement in these areas and meeting many more of you in the coming weeks.
You can view my announcement of this role on my personal Twitter, and book a 1:1 with me using the Calendly link in the thread if you’d like to catch up for a chat.
Bunnies up,
Alex Smeele
Buzzies
The mysterious Mythrium Buzzies have returned home to their HNI pots, marking the safe return of all five families.
We hope you all enjoyed the care and detail that went into these rare Buzzies. We wanted to explore what an apex Buzzie in the environment could have evolved into for each family. Taking inspiration from each scene, we took each family's physiological adaptions a step further, resulting in this vibrant and highly specialised Buzzie class.
Desert (Mythrium Class)
Our cunning Desert Buzzies cleverly camouflage themselves as cacti, their dazzling petal wings soaking up the bright rays of the scorching desert sun. Scattered amongst the dunes of the Oasis, each is more vibrant than even the most beautiful desert rose.
Irradiated (Mythrium Class)
The harsh toxicity of Unit 177 appears to have triggered extreme mutations in the cellular structure of the Irradiated, transmogrifying over 80% of its body into a shiny, transparent jelly-like substance. These gummy good boys are unphased by their condition, happily lapping up the glowing goop of the radiated lake.
Undead (Mythrium Class)
If anything could rule this forsaken Wasteland, these special Undead possess the first claim to the throne. Their diet of living flesh has rotted the fur from their body, leaving only bony carapace and razor-sharp bone. Deadly hunters with a penchant for impaling their prey using their skeletal tails, even the strongest Fluf should be wary of these Buzzies.
Cyber (Mythrium Class)
The most curious creatures of the lot, the recently discovered Cybers are an unexplained mystery. It is clear other members of this family were prototypes of these final forms. Professor Sparkenski theorises small fusion reactors power the hearts of these automatons, fuelled by a silver of Mythrium. He is desperate to find the creator of these enigmatic cyborgs.
Cosmic (Mythrium Class)
Celestial embodiments of light, it takes a lucky night to catch a glimpse of one of these elusive critters. Their shimmering fur seems to contain all the colours of the rainbow, but how the delicate wings of these ethereal Buzzies can support their weight is an enigma. Nights spent dancing amidst the spores of the native Crystal Falls bioluminescent fungi have caused small growths to erupt on their backs. Thankfully, the fungi appear to live in symbiosis with these unique Cosmic Buzzies.
There has been much celebration among the Party Bears and Buzzies, with the return of 99.9% of Buzzies to their faithful bear pals. Strangely, there is one last Mythrium HNI pot still to attract a Buzzie. Dr Mati is perplexed by this anomaly but has vowed to discover the cause. Could this collection still have some secrets to share?
Trait Dive
In our latest Trait Dive, we're ready to delve into the world of the "Green Beanie" trait, a distinctive attribute cherished amongst those in the Party Bears collection.
Only a tiny fraction of Party Bears, precisely 194 out of the entire assembly, are blessed with the Green Beanie trait. The Green Beanie trait isn't just a piece of headgear; it's an entry ticket to the exclusive "Green Beanie Gang."
Party Bears sporting the Green Beanie trait are celebrated for their creativity and inherent coolness. Donning their vibrant neon beanies, these Bears radiate a unique blend of style and personality, setting them apart in any gathering.
The origins of the Green Beanie Bears remain shrouded in mystery. Some say they were once a part of an elusive artists' collective from the vibrant city of Bearlin. Others suggest they are the creative descendants of Beats, a legendary disc jockey, hailing from the depths of the Groove Forest. The truth? It's anyone's guess, and the Green Beanie Bears themselves offer no clues. All they know is that they've always called the Party Forest their home.
With only a handful of these Green Beanie Party Bears currently listed, it’s safe to say they’re a sought-after favourite. Spotting one of these creative creatures in the wild is a sight to behold, and owning one? Well, that's the ultimate testament to one's coolness. Keep a close eye out for these trendy bears, as they are a spectacular addition to any collection.
Community Spotlight - angelbaby
Our Community Spotlight is where we share our favourite content created by the Fluffle.
Tag us on Twitter @flufworld with your original content for a chance to be featured in next month’s update!
This month we’re spotlighting everyone’s favourite Metastar, Angelbaby, who amidst the current AI music hype dropped ‘I’m Fine’, a new track featuring the voice of Grimes X WesGhost.
Recently, a slew of Drake AI tracks have added fuel to the fire that is the debate around AI music. With critics debating the liberalisation and democratisation of creativity against infringements on IP and authenticity, musical innovator Grimes weighed in, celebrating the movement while offering her voice to artists willing to credit her in their work.
With the conversation still fresh, Angel hit the studio, dropping this track to demonstrate the power of this technological revolution and what can be created when artists band together and celebrate the power AI has to fuel collective creativity.

Security
In the last month, we’ve seen a number of Discord servers become compromised in this space. As the world of Web3 continues to evolve, more and more people are flocking to Discord for its decentralized, community-focused features. While the platform offers a great way to connect with like-minded individuals, it's important to keep safety in mind. Here are 5 security tips you can take to protect your Discord account.
- Use a virtual private network (VPN) to mask your IP address and protect your online identity.
- Be cautious when clicking on links or accepting friend requests from strangers. Malicious links can lead to phishing scams or malware infections.
- Keep your software up to date to avoid vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. This includes your operating system, web browser, and any plugins or extensions you use.
- Always use strong encryption and authentication methods when communicating with others on Discord. Consider using tools like PGP or OMEMO to ensure that your messages remain private and secure.
- Take advantage of Discord's privacy settings to control who can see your profile and personal information. You can also adjust notification settings to minimize the risk of someone using social engineering to target you.
By following these advanced tips, you can further enhance your security and privacy on Web 3 Discord. Remember, staying safe online requires vigilance and a proactive approach to security. Stay informed and take the necessary steps to protect yourself from potential threats.
Meet the Team - Josh Grant
Our featured team member of the month is none other than our electric VP of Game Experiences, Josh Grant
What is your role at Futureverse?
I provide support to our talented team of product owners and designers that manage the end-to-end process for the products that live within our department. Together, we cover partnership products along with other core internal products that support our platform and ecosystem.
What were you doing beforehand?
Prior to joining the Futureverse team, I founded and built companies within the games and technology industries, mostly bootstrapped. My background is in sales, marketing, and product, with a good amount of time spent as an entrepreneur. Highlights of my professional career have been leading teams to take products from the concept stage to market success.
What is your favourite collection?
My favorite collection is a tie between Goblins and Seekers as I feel the design of the collections has a very clever alignment to the experiences and functions they plan to deliver. One is taking a very boring concept of communication infrastructure and hosting, and making it fun and visual. The other is a clever take on putting the bad past of Web3 behind us and focusing on the future.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I can be found spending time with family and friends, but mostly video gaming and playing DnD. I enjoy working more than I would like to admit and spend the vast majority of my spare time plotting new concepts, strategies, and ideas to present to the team.
Final Thoughts
That’s a wrap for our May Probably Nothing! We hope you enjoyed this month’s update on everything FLUF World.

“To unearth hidden gems, be both brave and smart,
Venture where goblins sketch and creative sparks dart.
Deep in FLUF's realm, where ideas unfurl,
Lies a treasure trove, a hidden pearl.
In this woven world where imagination is your best,
Add a dash of '-art' to uncover the rest.”
